Since 1979' the Bunbury BMX Club Inc. has provided an opportunity for residents of the South West to participate in the exciting sport of Bicycle Motocross (BMX). BMX is now an Olympic sport having made its spectacular debut at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
During 2010 the Bunbury BMX Club Inc. completed a major redevelopment of the entire complex. This resulted in a 21 year lease with City of Bunbury until 2030, new perimeter security fence, new World Class BMX track, new UCI compliant 5 metre start ramp, new light towers and new elevated grassed spectator area.
The redevelopment of the track was possible due to the in-kind financial support of local businesses and the thousands of voluntary manpower hours supplied by members of our Club.
The Club plays an important role in the community by promoting fun, enjoyment, competition and sportsmanship to riders, their families and the wider community and has fostered the development of talent in this growing sport. This has proudly provided many State and National champions along with several World champions.
